3rd seed Dominika Cibulkova fought back after dropping the first set to Agnieszka Radwanska to win the Bank of the West Classic on Sunday, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

It was quite a different story from the last meeting between the two players where Cibulkova failed to win a game in the Sydney Final 7 months ago.

The 2 and a half hour battle was the 3rd career win for the Slovak and her first of 2013. In doing so, she took down the 4th ranked player in the world in the WTA event.

With the victory, Cibulkova will move to 21st in the World with the U.S. Open fast approaching.

The Slovak spoke of surviving the grueling match afterwards, "I started to feel a little bit tired. In the long rallies, I started to feel my breath and my legs. The last match point I was so dead, I was so tired, but I knew I could not give it up now. I knew I just had to make one, two more balls and the match is mine."

She, indeed, did close it out with a long rally on the 5th Championship point to seal the victory as her Father who was in attendance ran onto the court to celebrate with his Daughter.
