Canadian Milos Raonic, gave the home crowd something to cheer about taking out 6th seeded Juan Martin Del Potro, 7-5, 6-4 in Coupe Rogers from Montreal.

Raonic came into the tournament as the 13th ranked player in the World and the highest ranked Canadian.

Raonic rode the wave of his big serve, firing 12 aces and winning 79 percent of his first serves. He will go up against Ernests Gulbis of Latvia, who defeated Andy Murray earlier in the day, in the quarterfinals. The Canadian is now the highest seeded player left in his half of the bracket.

Barring an upset, top seed Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal would meet each other in the semifinals in the top half of the bracket. This would pit two of the "Big Four" against each other.
