If you are looking for a player primed to break into the top 10 soon, look no further than Kei Nishikori. The 23 year old from Japan has seen a steady rise in the rankings taking down players such as Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych in the last year, along the way.

Nishikori possesses great movement and quickness on the court and is strong from the baseline with both his forehand and backhand. His return of serve is solid and his conditioning allows him to wear down opponents in many instances.

Another strength of the Japan native is his court savvy and ability to craft points with intelligent play.

With a little more consistency, he is very likely to see his ranking continue to move upward from 11th in the World, where he presently sits.

Nishikori now lives in Florida and has three career ATP Championships, most recently in the U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships in Memphis, back in February.

With the U.S. Open fast approaching, Nishikori hopes to better his top performance at a Major which was a quarterfinal effort at the 2012 Australian Open.
